Compliments/Complaints about MATC?

Milwaukee Area Technical College is committed to responding to all complaints in a fair, prompt, and objective manner. All complaints will be handled in strict confidence but please note that the information may be shared with the appropriate parties in order to bring a resolution to the complaint/compliment. Complaints must be filed within 30 days of the occurrence that prompted the complaint. Additionally, the college encourages feedback and welcomes compliments related to positive interactions experienced at Milwaukee Area Technical College.

Step One: Complete the Online Form (English) (Español)

Step Two: You will receive an automated response that your complaint or compliment has been received and is under review.

Step Three: Upon conclusion, and after investigating the nature of the complaint/compliment, the appropriate MATC staff will respond in writing within ten (10) college business days.

The response will include:

  • A written description of the complaint/compliment, including all pertinent details.
  • A statement regarding action taken.

 

Distance Education Conducted Across State Lines

Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) participates in the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA).   As a member of SARA, any current or former student of a distance education program offered by MATC may file a complaint with Wisconsin’s Distance Learning Authorization Board (DLAB) for MATC distance education activity conducted across state lines under specific and limited circumstances.  For more information on the types of complaints handled by DLAB, steps to be taken before filing a complaint with DLAB, and the process to file a complaint with the DLAB, see DLAB’s student complaint process
