Student Engagement and Community Impact

The Student Engagement and Community Impact division at Milwaukee Area Technical College plays a vital role in fostering student success, belonging, and civic connection. Grounded in MATC’s mission to transform lives and communities, the division creates opportunities for students to engage meaningfully in campus life, develop leadership skills, and access the support systems that help them thrive both academically and personally.

Through programs, partnerships, and services, the division supports students from orientation through completion, helping them build confidence, connect with peers and mentors, and navigate the college experience. By centering inclusion and student voice, the division works to ensure that all students—regardless of background or pathway—feel welcomed, valued, and empowered to reach their goals.
