Leadership & Administration
The Milwaukee Area Technical College District ("MATC") is governed by a nine-member Board of Directors (link), who in turn select the college’s president (link).
Leaders reporting directly to the president represent the Executive Leadership Team, whose members are identified below as well as those additional individuals who serve on the President’s Cabinet. MATC leaders are committed to driving a healthy climate and culture where all students and employees are welcome and have the resources needed for success.
District Board
Board Chairperson Mark Foley
The MATC District Board ensures the college is meeting its commitment in increasing the potential and productivity of the people in the district through the development and delivery of high-quality programs consistent with current and emerging educational and labor market needs.
President
MATC President Vicki J. Martin, Ph.D., is a champion of access to affordable education, greater student success and enhancing the talent pipeline from high school through postsecondary education. She is the college’s 10th president.
Presidential Search
Dr. Martin will retire at the end of June 2024. The board selected Greenwood/Asher & Associates as its executive search services provider to design and conduct a national search to identify a pool of qualified and enthusiastic candidates.

Legislative Task Force
The MATC Legislative Task Force (link) is a cross-functional group whose members include MATC students, faculty, staff, administration, a district board member and the college's lobbyist.
Audit Advisory Committee
The Audit Advisory Committee is responsible for providing oversight assistance to the MATC Board of Directors in fulfilling its responsibility relative to the auditing, accounting and financial reporting processes. See meeting agendas on the board page.
