Leadership & Administration

Welcome to the Milwaukee Area Technical College website!

Dr. Vicki Martin

I invite you to explore this site to learn about our high-quality, affordable academic programs and our support services designed to help you achieve success. Also check out the information about our four campuses and the many student clubs and organizations.

We offer more than 170 associate degree, technical diploma, certificate and apprenticeship programs. Our programs are crucial to the region's economic vitality and lead to a wide variety of career opportunities. Select programs are offered online, in an accelerated format, and in Spanish.

Interested in pursuing a bachelor's degree? MATC has transfer partnerships with four-year colleges and universities, including the UW System, so you can start at MATC and transfer your credits to a four-year institution.

If you need to complete your high school education, earn a GED or improve your English-speaking skills, MATC can help you reach your goals.

Our graduates can be found in every career sector in the region: 92% of recent associate degree graduates were employed within six months of graduation and their average salary was $52,714; 93% of the technical diploma graduates were employed within six months of graduation and their average salary was $49,175.

The cost of an MATC education is among the most affordable in Wisconsin and the MATC Foundation Inc. offers scholarships to help eligible students with their expenses.

For more than 100 years, MATC has been committed to enriching, empowering and transforming lives throughout southeastern Wisconsin. Our core values (Student Success, Accountability, Collaboration, Customer Focus, Diversity, Excellence, Innovation and Integrity) are integrated into every aspect of the college – from the moment you inquire about an MATC education to the day you walk across the stage as a proud MATC graduate.

I invite you to learn more about our college and wish you all the best,
Vicki J. Martin, Ph.D.
