Getting Started

You can visit the Admissions Center at any MATC campus (see locations and hours at the bottom of this page) as your starting point. Services include computer stations for completing applications for admission, registration and financial aid. Our Student Services provides personal assistance at each Welcome Center.

You also can start online at

  • If you plan to earn an associate degree or technical diploma from MATC or intend to receive financial aid, you must complete the admissions process and be admitted to an associate degree or technical diploma program before the start of the semester.
  • If you want to take courses but are not interested in receiving an associate degree or technical diploma, it is not necessary to complete the admissions process, however, you will need to register for the classes you wish to take. You can register for classes in person at any of the four MATC campuses.
  • NOTE: To help verify future student identities, MATC charges a $2 processing fee on all applications. Learn more about this fee here.

Current MATC students can register by visiting Self Service and choosing "Student Planning." You can also search for classes before registering through the catalog

Enrollment is completed when you have paid for your classes and attend them.
