MATC Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

We understand college is difficult. It's essential to seek out help when you need it. MATC has multiple mental health resources to help you work through whatever challenges you may be facing.

Do you need to talk to someone during school hours? MATC Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) are available by appointment at all MATC campuses, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Our Counselors provide a welcoming and safe environment to discuss a variety of issues, including:

  • Stress
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Anger Management
  • Bullying
  • Relationship Challenges
  • Alcohol & Substance Use
  • Trauma
  • Grief & Loss
  • Identity Exploration
  • Job Loss & Financial Stress
  • Loneliness

Services are free and confidential. In person, phone, and virtual services are available by appointment.

Do you need to talk to someone after school hours or on the weekend? MATC is partnered with BetterMynd, a free online therapy platform, to offer students access to weekly teletherapy sessions from licensed mental health counselors. These 50-minute live sessions are available during the day, at night, and on weekends. Topics include:
