M-Cubed Milwaukee Direct Admit
- Applying to a two-year or four-year college can be complicated — especially for students who would be the first in their families to go. Now, there’s a new process that streamlines applying and being admitted to college.
- With M-Cubed’s new Milwaukee Direct Admit program, all MPS high school juniors can apply – for free – to both MATC and UWM with just one 5-minute form.
- The only information needed is the student’s name, student ID and where the student wants to apply. There are no essays — and no need to manually send the student’s transcripts to MATC or UWM.
- Students then receive an admissions offer that becomes official once they graduate high school. Choosing a college on the form does not commit students to attend either MATC or UWM, or both. Students still must accept the admissions offer in order to actually enroll.
- Students who opt in to this program may also be eligible for the $500 Smart Start scholarship program which offers success coaching and programs to help with the transition into MATC or UWM.

After the form is completed, students will hear from MATC and/or UWM in about a month regarding next steps — and will receive acceptances by September. Remember, students must graduate high school to qualify.
