Retention Coaching

Retention Coaches are available to help students address challenges impacting their college experience, such as time and priority management, improving grades or creating a plan to balance work, family and coursework.

Students may request a meeting with a coach to talk about actions steps to achieve goals or to discuss college or life challenges.  Use the Coach Connection Interest form (link) to request a coach.

Faculty and staff may use Retention Alerts in Self Service to provide information about concerns to the coaching department.  A coach will contact students directly after the alert is received.

To help students connect to a Retention Coach and campus resources, please follow these steps rather than emailing directly to Retention Coaching staff:

  • Go to and find the Retention Alert section
  • Under the Contribute Retention Info tab, enter the student’s ID and provide the reason for your concern or other information accordingly
