2026 Power Players

If you need someone who can get things done, look no further than Milwaukee Area Technical College.

Four people with MATC ties made the Milwaukee Business Journal’s 2026 Power Players in Southeastern Wisconsin list, which was released this week.

Those recognized were MATC President Dr. Anthony Cruz; Danielle Bergner, vice president of the MATC Foundation Board of Directors and a MATC alumna; Michael Emem, a Milwaukee developer and MATC alumnus; and Jackie Q. Carter, director of employee relations for the city of Milwaukee and a MATC alumna.

Milwaukee Business Journal staff chose the list, which spotlights region residents who shape development, champion philanthropic activities, and lend their voices and connections when they are needed most.

“These are individuals who are getting things done in Southeast Wisconsin — connecting people, winning deals, defining the conversation and generally moving and shaking,” the periodical said.

This year, the selections were revealed in random order in three groups that came out Monday, February 16 through Wednesday, February 18.

Here’s a look at the people with MATC connections:
