Aisha Barkow
Aisha Barkow became director of public safety in 2015 and expanded her duties in 2025 to oversee the lock and key/access control area, along with the public health, parking and risk management departments.
Before coming to MATC, Barkow served in the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office for 19 years, achieving the rank of sergeant, captain and deputy inspector.
A lifelong Milwaukee resident, Barkow has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a master’s degree in educational psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is a licensed professional counselor.
