Joseph Phillips
Joseph Phillips was named chief executive officer of the Milwaukee Area Technical College Foundation and the college’s executive director of advancement in July 2026.
He oversees the MATC Foundation, including major gifts and its operations, as well as the college advancement grants department and alumni relations.
Phillips has more than two decades of nonprofit experience. Most recently, he served as chief advancement officer at the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra. Prior to that, he was executive director of the Luther Manor Foundation, overseeing comprehensive fundraising operations for one of Wisconsin’s largest senior living communities. Earlier, at Cross Catholic Outreach, he led major gift development across a national donor portfolio.
He holds a master’s degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Minnesota.
