STUDENTS POISED FOR OPPORTUNITIES IN WELDING
Five students received their certificates in welding fundamentals at a graduation ceremony on Monday, May 22, 2023 at MATC’s Downtown Milwaukee Campus. The students were part of the Second Chance Pell Grant Program, which provides opportunities for persons in the care of Wisconsin’s Department of Corrections to pursue postsecondary education. Wisconsin Department of Corrections Secretary Kevin A. Carr was the keynote speaker. Student Mark Roberson also addressed the audience which included the students’ families. The students displayed mailboxes, coat hangers and other welding projects.
