Hispanic Heritage Month Events Fall 2022
From September 15 through October 15, 2022, MATC presented a wide range of free events to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Activities at the Downtown Milwaukee Campus included speaker Carmen Lerma and a dance performance by Salsabrosita, an opportunity to play the lotería game and enjoy coffee and Mexican bread, and a motivational presentation by speaker Guillermo Baena. A traditional dress contest and Latin dance lessons were held at the MATC Education Center at Walker's Square and events also took place at the Mequon and West Allis campuses. The month’s activities were organized by the MATC Latinx Unidos student organization in collaboration with the Office of Student Life and the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
