CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GRADUATES
On Thursday, December 20, Milwaukee Area Technical College hosted the GED/HSED graduation ceremony in Cooley Auditorium at MATC’s Downtown Milwaukee Campus. More than 200 students were honored for earning General Educational Development (GED) certificates or High School Equivalency Diplomas (HSED). The ceremony recognized students who graduated from MATC and our community-based educational partners – Adult Learning Center, Literacy Services of Wisconsin, Social Development Commission, UMOS Inc. and YWCA Southeast Wisconsin. Speakers included Keynote Speaker Lauren Feaster, chief executive officer at Professional Dimensions; Dr. Mohammad Dakwar, MATC, vice president of learning; Dr. Patricia Torres Nájera, MATC executive director of community education, hispanic-serving institution initiative and strategic engagement, and student speaker Clareathea Wallace.
