Diversity Job Fair - May 4, 2022
On Wednesday, May 4, Milwaukee Area Technical College hosted its first Diversity Job Fair at the Downtown Milwaukee Campus. Approximately 30 businesses participated, ready to hire new employees and make their workforces more diverse. At the job fair, more than 100 MATC students, alumni and community members learned about hiring opportunities and took initial steps toward employment. Students surveyed afterward gave a 100% satisfaction rating. “Overall after being ‘closed’ due to the pandemic, I think it was a successful event,” said Omar Barberena, an employment development specialist at MATC’s CareerHub.
