MATC 2025 WINTER COMMENCEMENT

COMMENCEMENT CELEBRATES 1,200 STUDENTS AT FISERV FORUM

On Saturday, December 13, at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, MATC celebrated students eligible to receive their associate degrees, technical diplomas, apprenticeship diplomas and adult high school diplomas. Nearly 1,200 students were eligible to cross the stage, including 21 candidates who served in the U.S. military and received red, white and blue cords from the college. About 580 students graduated with honors. Luis Pozos, Auto Collision Repair and Finish Technical diploma student kicked off the commencement by welcoming students and staff into the arena. Vida Bridges received the President’s Award. LaNelle Ramey, Executive Director MENTOR Milwaukee, served as keynote speaker. Ramey discussed the importance of expanding your circle of friends and associates, and having positive mentors in your life to give you the best opportunity for growth, positive support, and consistent encouragement. Ms. Sumanpreet Kaur, an associate science degree, president’s honor roll student served as the student speaker. Kaur was selected as the college’s Outstanding Associate Degree student for her extensive academic achievements and exemplary involvement at the college and in the community.
