NEWS CONFERENCE PROMOTES FINAL PUSH BEFORE SPRING APPLICATION DEADLINE
On Monday, January 4, 2023, Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson encouraged students to apply for Milwaukee Area Technical College's Ellen and Joe Checota Scholarship Program before the January 6 deadline. The news conference was held in the T building lab where machine tool and Computer Numerical Controls setup and operations classes are held. The full-ride scholarship was originally announced in August 2022 but was only open to current students. This announcement promoted the fact that new and continuing students seeking short-term technical diplomas or certificates are eligible to apply.
