Academic Honors Recognition - Spring 2022

On Thursday, May 12, 2022, at MATC’s Cooley Auditorium, students who will be graduating with academic honors were recognized with the distribution of the gold cords that can be worn at MATC Commencement on Sunday, May 22. Special recognition was given to MATC President’s Award Winner Crystal Jones, Human Service Associate degree program; Outstanding Graduate Candidates Kelsi Casey, Associate of Arts, and Nadeen Dais, Cardiovascular Technology – Echocardiography; Adult High School Outstanding Graduate Candidate Anna Marie Forner; and the 2022 Wisconsin Technical College System State Ambassador, Samantha Shields. Opening and emceeing the event was Equan Burrows, dean of Student Experience. Presenting gold cords were Dr. Sadique Isahaku, dean, General Education Pathway; Dr. Mohammed Dakwar, vice president of learning; Dr. Michael Sitte, interim dean, Creative Arts, Design and Media Pathway; Dr. Eric Gass, interim dean, Healthcare Pathway; and Rebecca Alsup-Kingery, dean, Manufacturing, Construction & Transportation Pathway.
