2022–2023 Stormers Basketball

Milwaukee Area Technical College men’s and women’s basketball teams are having a phenomenal year! The teams have played some exciting ball, and Stormer supporters are showing up! MATC's women (17-13, 15-8 in Region IV) received the tourney's No. 4 seed in Midwest B District, but lost to the Moraine Valley Community College Cyclones (14-15, 13-12 in Region IV), thus ending their season. The women boasted all conference players: Sania Thomas, first team All-Conference; Aniya Betha, second team All-Conference; and Brooklyn Davis. The men Stormers (28-4), ranked No. 7 in the nation, got the seventh seed in the 16-team field in the NJCAA Division II national tournament. They will play the Mott Community College Bears (24-8) from Flint, Michigan on March 21. Mikale Stevenson was named District Tournament MVP. Ke'Varius "KJ" Taylor and Shelton Williams-Dryden were named to the All-Tournament Team. The Athletics department has received great visibility, hosting two rallies at the Downtown Milwaukee Campus.
