The achievements and accomplishments of two Milwaukee Area Technical College information technology professionals were recently recognized.
Charlotte Larkin, a business analyst and project manager, and Rajani Madeti, director of MATC’s Enterprise Information Systems, were among 12 women spotlighted as Notable Women in Technology by BizTimes Media in the June 24 issue.
The BizTimes provides news, analysis and insights about businesses, top executives, achievers and up-and-comers in southeastern Wisconsin. Notables profiled in BizTimes are nominated by their peers at work and in the community.
“Being recognized by my peers, supervisor and mentors is such an honor,” said Larkin, who has been at the college since June 2021. “MATC has been an incredibly positive environment for nurturing my career, and I am extremely grateful for the acknowledgment of my work and contributions to the college.”
Larkin is managing the implementation of a new digital platform that replaces the college’s current intranet website, called myMATC. The new site went live July 1.
“It’s a complex project that requires extensive technical insight, content management and people skills,” said David Rowe, MATC’s chief information officer. “When completed, the new site will provide a greater, more dynamic and intuitive user experience to access essential information and online services for all of our students, staff and faculty.”
Madeti, who has been at MATC since August 2022, has more than 20 years of experience and has a knack for identifying underlying problems and implementing technology-based solutions that enable the college to operate more efficiently.
She recently spearheaded an initiative that alleviated bottlenecks and eliminated delays that were impacting the critical student registration process. She also led her team and departmental stakeholders through the analysis and planning efforts to modernize the college's Enterprise Resource Planning system and accompanying digital transformation objectives.
“I am deeply touched and thankful for this notable recognition, and congratulations to Charlotte as well,” Madeti said. “This award reflects the incredible team I have the privilege to work with every day and the inspiring environment that allows me to thrive. The unwavering support and guidance I receive at MATC makes these accomplishments possible.”
