MATC President Vicki J. Martin, Ph.D., wants to hear what you think.
She wants to hear about your classes, about your instructors, about the college and even about the food in the cafeteria.
Dr. Martin will informally chat with students and employees during lunch, rotating campuses throughout the year.
“Constructive feedback can be the foundation for a better culture and a stronger, better college,” Dr. Martin said. “Our shared success as a college relies on a comprehensive understanding of the wide range of views, experiences, concerns and engagement felt by our diverse student population.
“With more than 25,000 students across four campuses, it is imperative that we create opportunities for dialogue and feedback,” Dr. Martin said. “We recognize that our students represent all backgrounds and perspectives, and each person should feel that their voice is being heard.”
For the Fall 2023 semester, Dr. Martin’s cafeteria chats will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., on:

- Thursday, Sept. 7 at Downtown Milwaukee Campus Cafeteria
- Thursday, Sept. 14 at Walker's Square
- Tuesday, Oct. 3 at West Allis Campus Cafeteria
- Tuesday, Oct. 10 at Mequon Campus Cafeteria
- Monday, Nov. 6 at Walker's Square
- Thursday, Nov. 16 at Oak Creek Campus Cafeteria
- Monday, Nov. 20 at Downtown Milwaukee Campus Cafeteria
- Thursday, Nov. 30 at West Allis Campus Cafeteria
- Tuesday, Dec. 5 at Mequon Campus Cafeteria
“We need to reconnect after the past few years,” Dr. Martin said. “I believe we are ready to meet each other and open to dialogue. These sessions will help improve communication and accountability on all campuses.”
Dr. Martin said she will analyze the feedback they receive and identify possible next steps.
“Our goal is to make MATC a welcoming place where every person is respected and many perspectives come together to advance our mission,” Dr. Martin said. “Listening is the first step to making that happen.”
