MATC to Host ‘Casa Abierta,” a Virtual (English-Spanish) Bilingual Open House, Thursday, March 25

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Area Technical College will host “Casa Abierta,” a virtual, bilingual (English-Spanish) open house for prospective students and their families, from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 25. 

Students will hear from Naydeen Gonzalez-De Jesus, MATC’s new executive vice president of student success; meet with bilingual program instructors; and get information about bilingual programs, including college-level programs, GED/HSED programs and English as a Second Language classes. Visitors can also learn about support services for bilingual students, including financial aid and scholarships, such as DACA Plus.

MATC offers bilingual programs including:

  • Bilingual Office Assistant

  • Child Care Services

  • Preschool Certificate

  • Early Childhood Education

  • Dietary Manager Certificate

  • Medical Interpreter

  • Nursing Assistant

  • Dental Assistant

  • ESL (English as a Second Language)

  • GED/HSED
