2019 GED/HSED Winter Graduation Held Dec. 18, at MATC’s Downtown Milwaukee Campus

Approximately 175 students were honored for earning General Educational Development (GED) certificates or High School Equivalency Diplomas (HSED) Dec. 18 at Milwaukee Area Technical College’s Downtown Milwaukee Campus. The graduation was held in Cooley Auditorium. The ceremony recognized students who graduated from Milwaukee Area Technical College and nine community-based educational partners.

Speakers included Sherry K. Holly, GED/HSED alternative education administrator from the Wisconsin Department of Instruction; Dr. Vicki J. Martin, MATC president; Dr. Mohammad Dakwar, MATC vice president of learning; Dr. Sadique Isahaku, MATC dean of general education pathway; La’Eisha Barkley, representing MATC/Right Path; and Hugo Diaz, a student representing Literacy Services of Wisconsin. Dr. Martin officially conferred the degrees.
