The Loyola Project
The Loyola Project is a compelling documentary about racial tension, courage and college basketball centered on the 1963 Loyola University-Chicago’s men’s NCAA championship team. One of the most memorable games that season was against an all-white team from Mississippi State University, forbidden by the state’s governor from traveling north to play against Black athletes. The historic game would come to be known as the “Game of Change.”Now, 60 years later, the legendary season is reexamined by the current Loyola basketball team co-captain and Northwestern Mutual College FR Lucas Williamson, who co-wrote and narrates this powerful story.
