Earners of this badge will obtain practical knowledge & understanding of the basic fundamentals of daily effective food preparation, consumer food safety, current food trends, history of culinary arts, nutritional guidelines, and practical sustainability.

All MATC’s digital badges are earned when the identified course(s) within the badge are all completed with a grade of C or better. This more immediate method of delivering credentials allows our students to showcase their hard-earned skills faster and stand out to employers sooner.

The cost of earning a digital badge is paid through tuition. If you are applying for the badge only, options include paying in full, a payment plan, or third-party sponsorship, however you will not be eligible for Financial Aid. If you earn the badge as part of a larger technical diploma or associate degree program, tuition also may be covered through Financial Aid.
