MATC AND PROSPANICA MILWAUKEE TO HOST FREE VIRTUAL LATINX CAREER OPPORTUNITIES CONFERENCE OCT. 28

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Area Technical College’s Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) Steering Committee and Prospanica Milwaukee will hold its second free virtual Latinx career opportunities conference from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 28. “Pursuing and Achieving Your Goals. Yes, We Can!” is designed for Hispanic/Latino/a students who want to explore career opportunities and pathways. Students will receive guidance on how to address job career choices as well as options to transfer to a four-year institution. The session will focus on MATC programs and career paths.

Christine Neumann-Ortiz, executive director, Voces de la Frontera, will present the keynote address. The event seeks to bring hope and recognition to Latinx students who have been resilient throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
