Diesel and Powertrain Servicing

This one-year program prepares you for servicing equipment powered by gas or diesel engines, such as stationary engines, construction equipment and marine applications, with emphasis in the heavy truck field. With the instructor’s consent, portions of this program may be taken off campus for co-op credit.
Career Outlook: In the transportation and construction equipment industries, truck and heavy equipment mechanics are in demand. Employment opportunities include dealerships, distributors, independents, fleets and companies using heavy equipment.
Career Pathway: This program features exploratory courses that count toward a credential. Work continues to develop the program into a fully embedded Career Pathway.
