Adults and Children Invited to Explore Science at MATC's Downtown Milwaukee Campus Oct. 13

Children and adults are invited to participate in a hands-on experience with science from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 13, in the Main Building at Milwaukee Area Technical College’s Downtown Milwaukee Campus, 1015 N. 6th St.  Led by MATC instructors, the free, public activities are part of the statewide celebration of science, “Wisconsin Science Festival: Curiosity Unleashed,” which includes events from Oct. 11-14.

Activities include:
* New Anatomy and Physiology Multimedia Lab:  See the state-of-the-art technology for virtual dissection and visualization of the human body. Open to all ages. Room M439.
* Upcycling Waste: Learn about profiting while saving the planet. For adults. Room M636.
* Chemistry Demonstration:  Open to all ages. Room M670.
* Antibiotic Producers:  Learn about antibiotic resistance through the Tiny Earth Project. Open to all ages. Room M632.

Depending on the number of attendees, sessions will run concurrently every half hour.
