MILWAUKEE (April 4, 2018) – Milwaukee Area Technical College President Dr. Vicki J. Martin and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Chancellor Dr. Mark A. Mone released the following joint statement regarding the pending departure of Milwaukee Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Darienne Driver:

"Dr. Driver is a visionary leader for our entire community. Her presence will be greatly missed. MPS, MATC and UWM have strong working partnerships, and that bond has strengthened during her tenure, including our partnership to bring the early-college model to Bradley Tech High School, our joint work through Milwaukee Succeeds, and bringing MPS, MATC and UWM together to create M3 (pronounced "M-cubed"). The foundation is laid for these efforts to continue for many years to come, which will improve the lives of students from pre-kindergarten through high school, college and their careers."

Wisconsin's largest technical college and the most diverse two-year institution in the Midwest, Milwaukee Area Technical College is a key driver of southeastern Wisconsin’s economy and has provided innovative education in the region since 1912.
