Milwaukee Area Technical College is offering a hands-on, expert-led workshop in January for beginners interested in learning how to fly a drone.
The half-day, limited class-size sessions presented by MATC Workforce Solutions are set for Friday, Jan. 12, 2018 from 8 a.m.-noon or 1-5 p.m. at MATC’s Oak Creek Campus, 6665 S. Howell Ave.
The cost is $99 including simulation and flight training. Register online. Participants will use drones supplied by the workshop and will receive flight training from an expert instructor.
The workshop will help attendees gain:
- Knowledge of FAA rules and regulations
- Knowledge of Wisconsin laws and Milwaukee ordinances
- Knowledge of safety precautions
- Experience using drone simulation
