GED/HSED Graduation to be Held June 7 at MATC's Downtown Milwaukee Campus

Approximately 225 students will be honored for earning General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diplomas (HSED) Wednesday, June 7, at Milwaukee Area Technical College’s Downtown Milwaukee Campus. The ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. in Cooley Auditorium on the second floor of the Main Building, 1015 N. 6th St. The ceremony recognizes students graduating from Milwaukee Area Technical College and its 35 community-based educational partners.

Speakers include Dr. Vicki J. Martin, MATC President; Dr. Regina O. Smith, MATC dean of the School of Pre-College Education; and Melissa Melendrez, a graduate representing United Migrant Opportunity Services (UMOS). Kurt Wachholz, chairperson of the MATC District Board of Directors, will officially confer the degrees. Marilena Castillo, another graduate representing UMOS, will make introductions.
