MATC Offering Free Summer Workshop for High School Students

Milwaukee Area Technical College is offering a free science workshop for high school students this summer. The Science Talent Expansion Program (STEP) and the Biochemical Excellence in Science and Technology (BEST) grant are funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). 

Lab Techniques in Biochemical Research will be offered in two sessions at the Downtown Milwaukee Campus - June 19-29 (no class Friday, June 23) and July 10-20 (no class Friday, July 14). Workshop hours are 9 a.m. - 3:15 p.m. Lunch vouchers and free bus fare are included.

Students will be exposed to scientific enquiry of conducting experiments, recording data, and analyzing results. Students will earn one college credit for completing the workshop.
