Five Star Food & Wine Evening Held April 27

Cuisine prepared by Milwaukee Area Technical College culinary arts, and baking and pastry arts students highlighted MATC’s annual Five Star Food & Wine Evening April 27 at the Downtown Milwaukee Campus.

The event featured 10 themed food stations and specialty desserts, paired with wine and local craft beer. See the full menu at http://fivestar.matc.edu/menu.html. Chocolate showpieces made by baking and pastry arts students were displayed and auctioned. In addition, there was a silent auction of gift baskets and donated items, as well as a raffle and a wine pull.

Proceeds from the event are used to support scholarships and continuing education opportunities for MATC students and faculty in culinary arts, culinary management, baking and pastry arts, hotel/hospitality, and meeting and event management programs.
