Create Gallery: Tracing Your Roots

Downtown Milwaukee Campus, Create Gallery, Room M175

Clayborn Benson, founder and Executive Director of the Wisconsin Historical Society will lead an impactful discussion on the importance of genealogy and understanding where we come from.

The event will be held in MATC's Create Gallery and Camus Cafe. The current gallery exhibit, "Building Legacies," highlights the work of Dr. James Cameron, founder of America's Black Holocaust Museum and Mr. Benson, who has been labeled as one of Wisconsin's most knowledgeable African American historians.

Later, Cheryl Randall (MATC retiree) and other members of the Executive Board of the African American Genealogy Society of Milwaukee (Myrelene Saunders, Brenda Thompson, and Chuck Powell) will conduct research and provide personal information to you as they trace your roots.
