Everything is Possible, Even the Impossible!

Participation in this tournament is limited to MATC students enrolled in the Spring 2024 Semester or registered for the Summer or Fall 2024 Semester. Student ID card required for tournament registration. The registration and fun are free!

We will have 5 rounds using a modified version of the Swiss system. USCF rules will be enforced - touch move, touch take, no talking or using electronic devices. No talking to opponents during games, except for draw offers, and to say “adjust” while straightening a piece on the board. Touch move and touch take will be enforced as long as it is a legal move.

Disputes will be decided by the Tournament Director Volodymyr Opryshchenko. The Tournament Director is the final judge in all disputes, and has been assigned the power to resolve all questions, issues, disputes, and any other open item about the rules, competition, rankings, or other activity related to the tournament, he also has the option to delegate resolutions to a third party or parties if he so chooses. Each participant will receive an unbelievable special prize or trophy!
