Department of Marketing and Communications

The Milwaukee Area Technical College Department of Marketing and Communications creates and executes strategies to recruit students to MATC, retain current students, and enhance understanding of MATC and its value to students and the community.

Our core responsibilities include:

  • Advertising/marketing for the college through out-of-home (traditional) and digital channels
  • Call Center services supporting future and current students with questions about admissions, financial aid and registration
  • College Design and Visual Identity (Design Center) including creative direction, concept, strategy and execution, graphic design, photography and videography; for college marketing campaigns, publications, print, interactive, manages the visual brand and identity of MATC
  • Events including consultation and planning support, execution of major events, management of the schedules of key event spaces, and facility rentals
  • Internal communications, part of the college’s strategic communications, to support shared understanding of the work of the college
  • Printing services meeting the needs of customers throughout the college
  • Public relations including storytelling and news media relations
  • Recruitment of students, including high school and adult/community visits and events
  • Social media, part of the college’s strategic communications, including content development and execution
  • Website design and site maintenance for matc.edu, working with partners throughout the college
