MATC Update Regarding Coronavirus - Case in Wisconsin Confirmed

MATC continues to monitor the news of the coronavirus which began in China and now includes a confirmed case in Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services considers this a low risk to the immediate health of the state’s general public. Influenza and other respiratory viruses are common in Wisconsin at this time of year. Milwaukee Area Technical College continues to monitor the news of the coronavirus, which began in China and now includes a few confirmed cases in the United States. There are no confirmed coronavirus cases in Wisconsin at this time.

Should there be an outbreak in the U.S., the college has developed a planned response. This would include timely communications for employees and students. Please also watch matc.edu for updates as appropriate.
