MATC has established a one day instructor certification workshop that provides technical college instructors with an overview and introduction to the Wisconsin MSSC initiative. This course includes:

• Overview and History on MSSC Skill Standards
• Background on the MSSC certification efforts
• Value Proposition for Educators, Students, and Employers
• Review of the McGraw Hill High Performance Manufacturing Textbook, Manufacturing Applications Workbook, and Instructor Resource CD
• Explanation of the WI MSSC Curricula Design
• Discussion of Pre-assessment tools
• Instructors Guide
• Powerpoint presentations and other resource materials
• Go over the content of the four modules – Safety, Quality, Manufacturing Processes, and Maintenance Awareness
• Instructors will take the online practice tests as well as take pre-assessment tests
• Discussion of test taking strategies and tips

The cost of this one day workshop is $230. This includes: instructor handbook, High Performance Manufacturing Textbook, Manufacturing Applications Workbook, and Instructor Resource CD. National MSSC Instructor Certification Training

MSSC provides an intensive, 3-day course to certify teachers and instructors on ways to teach MSSC courses in different learning environments. MSSC strongly encourages instructors to secure “MSSC Production Technician Certification” prior to enrolling in this training. An “Instructors Package” (a $1500 value) is provided to each individual enrolled in this 3-day course. This Instructor’s Package includes all materials needed by an instructor or teacher: power point presentations, facilitator notes, visuals, play maps, unit completion times, optional delivery methods, math problems and answers. Price includes one copy each of the MSSC High-Performance Manufacturing Textbook: Portable Production Skills Textbook, Manufacturing Applications, and Instructor Resource CD (a $300 value with S&H).

MSSC Instructor Certification Training is delivered by MSSC coordinated Master Trainers. MSSC Master Trainers contain an in depth knowledge of the MSSC Production Technician assessment, training, and certification System. Qualifications include:            

• Industry expert with a minimum of 15 years of experience in manufacturing operations
• Industry expert with a minimum of 5 years experience in developing and delivering manufacturing related training
• MSSC Certified Production Technician
• Demonstrated ability to explicate the delivery of MSSC Courses
