UW-Milwaukee logoUWM is a comprehensive research university that is home to some 28,000 students and the only School of Freshwater Sciences in the nation. UWM offers a wide range of courses, majors, and undergraduate and graduate degrees related to water. These range from courses in aquaculture to those in the arts, architecture and urban planning, biology, conservation, ecology, engineering, freshwater sciences and policy, health sciences, peace keeping and sustainability and public health to give several examples. UWM has the largest water research facility on the Great Lakes.

The university works with a wide range of partners, ranging from private and public employers to the technical colleges, the Water Council, many other colleges and universities, local, state, and federal governments, and numerous high schools to offer a high quality learning experience for all who want to participate.
