Online Writing Center
The Online Writing Center (OWL) helps MATC students develop the skills they need to become confident and self-sufficient writers via online writing assistance across the curriculum. The OWL provides students with:
- Many resources for composing and revising academic, business, and professional writing assignments.
- The ability to submit drafts of their work to our online writing staff.
- Understanding the class writing assignments
- Guidance in using the appropriate resources
- Understanding the steps of the writing process, which include:
- Generating ideas
- Organizing an outline or a draft
- Researching and documenting sources
- Strengthening editing and proof reading skills
To Submit a Draft via Email:
Please send your paper as an attachment in Microsoft WORD (*DOC) or Rich Text Format (*RTF) to writing@matc.edu, and include the following information in the body of your email.
Please keep in mind that papers submitted outside of normal MATC Writing Center hours are only looked at when the center next reopens. In other words, papers submitted during the weekend will not be returned until the following week.
After submitting your draft, please go to https://matc.edu/student/resources/owl/client_reporting_form.html and fill out the required Client Reporting Form. Thank you for using the MATC Online Writing Lab.
