Multicultural Student Services

The Department of Multicultural Student Services is dedicated to serving minority students through recruitment and retention services.  Multicultural Student Services promotes diversity and multicultural understanding at MATC and is responsible for implementing programs for minority student access and retention.

Multicultural Student Services staff members are advocates for current and prospective minority and limited English proficient students.  The staff is concerned with helping students resolve educational, vocational, financial, and personal needs to help them successfully complete their program of study and graduate. The staff works with minority students on admissions, registration, class scheduling, financial aid issues, and more.

Five offices comprise the Multicultural Student Services Department ? African-American Affairs, American Indian, Asian American, Hispanic Affairs, and International Students. These offices are staffed with individuals who are culturally sensitive to the services needed by minority students. Assistance for students who need help with bilingual communication is provided by the Multicultural Student Services located in Room M238 at the Downtown Milwaukee Campus.
