This program does not have a waitlist. Students are admitted through a petition process. Please read all information through the links on the right.

A criterion considered in the petition process is verification of student residency. As directed by TCS 10, students selected via the petition process are chosen based on MATC district residency, then Wisconsin non-district residency, followed by non-residents, unless otherwise articulated.

Note: Assistance with petition packet paperwork will not be provided once petition windows have opened.

Learn Renal Dialysis skills in only two semesters. This program is designed to prepare you for employment as a Renal Dialysis Technician (RDT) in a hospital or freestanding dialysis center. Under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, RDTs are responsible for setting up equipment, preparing solutions, performing venipuncture and monitoring patient responses during the dialysis procedure. In addition, RDTs are responsible for cleaning, quality control and maintenance of dialysis equipment. RDTs are in high demand. Core skills include conscientious work habits such as punctuality; empathy and the ability to work with chronically ill patients; and the ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure. Expect to do some lifting. For additional career information, visit www.nkf.org, then click on "dialysis jobs."
