IMPORTANT NOTE-07/15/11: This program is closed to new applications. Effective July 15, 2011, admission to the Radiography program has been closed due to a large number of candidates petitioning for core technical courses and a decreased employment outlook for radiography technicians in Wisconsin.
If you currently have the program code (conditional, prerequisite, etc.), you can still update it and petition for the radiography program when you are ready.
Applications will reopen when space becomes available in the program's technical courses. Please continue to check this page for updates. |

This program does not have a waitlist. Students are admitted through a petition process. Please read all information through the links on the right.
A criterion considered in the petition process is verification of student residency. As directed by TCS 10, students selected via the petition process are chosen based on MATC district residency, then Wisconsin non-district residency, followed by non-residents, unless otherwise articulated.
If you are a resident of the Waukesha County Technical College district, please click here https://www.wctc.edu/programs_&_courses/nursing_&_allied_health/radiography/started.php for information on the Collaborative Program Agreement and to apply for the program at WCTC.

Radiographers use imaging machines to radiograph parts of the body on x-ray film for diagnostic purposes. Typical areas of radiography include diagnostic radiology, bedside and trauma procedures, and pediatric radiography. The associate degree program prepares you for employment in the x-ray departments of hospitals, clinics and private offices. The curriculum focuses on theoretical aspects of radiography and real-life experiences in radiography departments. The A.A.S. degree includes a six-week summer session and an externship in addition to the traditional four semesters. For career information, visit www.asrt.org.
