STUDENTS EARN WELDING CERTIFICATES THROUGH SECOND CHANCE PROGRAM

STUDENTS POISED FOR NEW CAREERS IN WELDING

Eleven students in the care of Wisconsin’s Department of Corrections received their certificates in welding fundamentals at a graduation ceremony on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at MATC’s Downtown Milwaukee Campus The students were part of the Second Chance Pell Grant Program which provides opportunities for persons in the care of correctional facilities to pursue postsecondary education to increase their chances for career success. The inmates completed 17 credits in one semester, attending classes every weekday and on Saturdays.
