DEI OFFICE OFFICIAL OPENING AND RIBBON CUTTING
On Wednesday, October 12, a ribbon-cutting was held to celebrate the physical office opening of the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) at Milwaukee Area Technical College’s Downtown Milwaukee Campus. Located in Room M281 of the Main Building, the temporary office serves as a central location where student and staff can meet, collaborate and bond. Permanent offices are expected to open next summer in the S Building, which is currently being renovated. President Vicki J. Martin, Ph.D., and Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer Eva M. Martinez Powless, Ph.D., spoke at the event. They were joined by students and employees including other members of the President's Cabinet and Council.
