MILWAUKEE (June 26, 2012) - The Milwaukee Area Technical College District Board Appointment Committee has appointed nine individuals to volunteer positions on the MATC District Board consistent with recent legislative changes to the board composition and appointment process. The MATC Board has the responsibility to ensure that MATC is meeting its commitment in increasing the potential and productivity of the people in the district through the development and delivery of high-quality educational programs consistent with current and emerging educational and labor market needs.
Appointment Committee members include: Chris Abele, Milwaukee County Executive; Robert Brooks, Ozaukee County Board Chairperson; Marina Dmitrijevic, Milwaukee County Board Chairperson; and Herbert Tennies, Washington County Board Chairperson.
The following individuals were appointed to the MATC District Board:

Graciela Maizonet, Machine Builder and Repairer, Master Lock – Employer (Manufacturer; 100+ employees)
José Péréz, Alderman, City of Milwaukee – Elected Official
Kurt J. Wachholz, Superintendent, West Allis-West Milwaukee School District – School District Administrator
Bobbie Webber, Union Liaison/Sales Representative, Dental Associates – Employer (100+ Employees)
Ann Wilson, Manager, Hillside Family Resource Center – Additional Member
The appointments are subject to approval by the Wisconsin Technical College System Board, which meets July 10-11 in Superior.
