Madison, Wis. – Individuals seeking relevant career skills will want a copy of the 2011-2012 Guidebook from Wisconsin’s technical colleges. The new guidebook is now available online at http://www.witechcolleges.org/guidebook.php and will soon be available at job centers, high schools, colleges and libraries throughout the state.
The guidebook serves as a comprehensive resource for anyone considering technical college, including high school students. Potential students will benefit from the information they need to help make an important decision about their futures. In addition to information on program offerings, it includes information on admissions, application timelines for each college and a detailed financial aid section. The guidebook also contains samples of median starting salaries earned by graduates in various fields and lists the more than 300 programs offered.
“Our many partnerships with businesses throughout the state make Wisconsin’s technical colleges more relevant than ever,” states Dan Clancy, president of the Wisconsin Technical College System. “We offer a number of services to students. Our career counselors can help you find your passion and point the way to a program that will help you get a job and make your future. We have a proven track record with 88 percent of our graduates finding jobs within six months of graduation.”
The Wisconsin Technical College System has 16 technical college districts throughout the state, which offer more than 300 programs awarding two-year associate degrees, one- and two-year technical diplomas and short-term technical diplomas.
