MILWAUKEE (Nov. 7, 2011) - Eleven Milwaukee Area Technical College students were recognized for their work on two programs at the Midwest Emmy Awards Ceremony in Chicago Nov. 6.

The students received College Student Production Awards from the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

The following students and programs were honored:

Arts and Entertainment/Cultural Affairs Production: Save the Arts Animated Shorts (Jasmine Winters, Producer/Editor; Spencer Legan, Producer/Animator; James Frame, Desere Jones, Cassie Maldonado, Katy McCool, Cole Norton, Roberto Rivera Padro, Evan Thompson, John Alvarez-Wallesverd, and Micah Zellinger, Animators)

Long Form Production: Lightfall (Andrew Ilk, Producer)
