MATC Provides Information on Gainful Employment Programs
MILWAUKEE – In accordance with U.S. Department of Education requirements, Milwaukee Area Technical College is providing information on its Gainful Employment programs. The information can be accessed at this link - http://matc.edu/student/offerings/gainful_employment.html
A Gainful Employment program “must lead to a degree or prepare students for "gainful employment in a recognized occupation.”
According to the Department of Education, a program would be considered to lead to gainful employment if it meets at least one of the following three criteria:

at least 35 percent of former students are repaying their loans (defined as reducing the loan balance by at least $1);

the estimated annual loan payment of a typical graduate does not exceed 30 percent of his or her discretionary income;
-
or the estimated annual loan payment of a typical graduate does not exceed 12 percent of his or her total earnings.
