MATC’s Century of Contributions to Greater Milwaukee Community is Topic of Dec. 2 Friday Lunch Forum
at MATC Mequon Campus

MEQUON, Wis. (Nov. 23, 2011) – Milwaukee Area Technical College launched its year-long centennial celebration in September 2011. The college’s contributions to the Greater Milwaukee community, as told by first-hand accounts from alumni and students, will be the topic of a lunch meeting/panel discussion set for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, in the Lecture Hall at MATC’s Mequon Campus, 5555 W. Highland Road.

Panelists include Dr. Michael L. Burke, MATC president; distinguished alumni; and students from the nursing, information technology, automotive technology and supervisory management programs. Lucia Francis, vice president of MATC’s Mequon Campus, will moderate the discussion titled “Enriching, Empowering and Transforming Lives – Milwaukee Area Technical College: 100 Years of Innovative Education.”

For more information or reservations, please contact Sandra Webster by Dec. 1 at (262) 238-2205 or websters@matc.edu. A $10 lunch fee is payable at the door.

Friday forums are breakfast or lunch meetings held on the first Friday of every other month from October through April. They are co-sponsored by the Mequon Campus of Milwaukee Area Technical College, the Ozaukee County Board of Supervisors and the University of Wisconsin Extension/Ozaukee. The series advances regional progress by bringing key people together to solve problems, share information and build relationships.
