MATC Receives Grant for
Service Learning and Community Engagement
MILWAUKEE (July 19, 2010) – Milwaukee Area Technical College is one of eight community/technical colleges that has received $3,000 grants apiece to promote service learning and community engagement.
The grants are part of the “Community Colleges Broadening Horizons through Service Learning” program, sponsored by the American Association of Community Colleges. The one-year grant is intended to support development and enhancement of curriculum-based service learning initiatives in new media and environmental education.
